Hi everyone! I’m starting this thread so we can share our application criteria points with each other! I just turned in my application today. I have between 85 and 88 points. I have 3 B’s on my science prerequisites :((, 4.0 gpa for all the general Ed courses. I have fluency in Spanish, an associates degree, CNA, and volunteer experience. I scored an 88 on my TEAS! I hope they can look past my grades in my prerequisite courses and I get in!!! I hope we all get into this cohort! Good luck everyone

I guess they are not sending acceptances today. ?

Hopefully we’ll hear something tomorrow.

I checked to see if they updated their website on when we will hear of acceptances. But it still says this week. I doubt they will put anything out on a Friday. ?

I was called earlier today and asked to send a picture of my official vaccination card in so maybe they are just tying up some lose ends and will be sending notices out tomorrow? When I was accepted to their CNA program we were emailed on a Friday so it’s still a possibility!

I called earlier today. This time the lady was nice, she said they are finishing up reviewing all the applications. The dean and a few others looking at our applications. I have approx 73 total points. I screwed up on my first attempt on the TEAS. I got my denial letter from Glendale CC =/.. I guess i just have to keep on working til I get in school. haha

It sucks southwestern only allows the first attempt because there isnt much wiggle room to improve points. If you dont get in this time maybe try for grossmont; they allow 2 attempts on the teas and they average them together. I dont know much about city maybe they allow 2 attempts as well.

I believe around 85! I have my CNA, Associates, 4.0 GPA & 83 Teas! No life experience points or bilingual!

I also just got a call from them asking for my immunization records. I think they’re still reviewing all applications so maybe it’ll be Monday since they close at 12 today ?
