Southwestern College ADN Fall 2019

Hi everyone! I’m starting this thread so we can share our application criteria points with each other! I just turned in my application today. I have between 85 and 88 points. I have 3 B’s on my science prerequisites :((, 4.0 gpa for all the general Ed courses. I have fluency in Spanish, an associates degree, CNA, and volunteer experience. I scored an 88 on my TEAS! I hope they can look past my grades in my prerequisite courses and I get in!!! I hope we all get into this cohort! Good luck everyone

Do u all have any info on the points of those accepted and the alternates last year?

Oh cool! you should get in if you did the paperwork correct. Did you apply to any other programs?

What I gathered from past cohorts postings, around mid 70s were alternates and all the alternates got in. But I'm not sure if the point cut off went up this year. I hope not?

I got an 82.7 on the teas too. If only we got a few more questions right. We would get another 7 points!!!! I was so upset I was 3 point shy of getting full points at southwestern. I suck at grammar and bombed that section I got almost 90s in math and science section but 70s in the english/grammar section?

Luckily, there wont be much of that in nursing school. Lol

Same here... Boo on that! You will be fine and for sure get in with 81. I can almost guarantee that.

@W12 Thanks! Hopefully but if I dont oh well. I'll reapply. I'm most worried about paperwork. Not sure if I missed something or if they will accept things I sent in for proof. Yes! Positive thoughts?? Exactly, this wait is getting outrageous!

I keep checking my email and see nothing then check on this post to see if anyone heard anything. Lol

This is getting annoying!! Its going to feel so crappy if others start posting they got an acceptance letter and others got nothing in their email. ?

Oh no! Well you should be getting in to southwestern with an 88. Grossmont has a later deadline than southwestern tho.
