Every so often I'll hear lyrics on songs on the radio that remind me of nursing... Here's a couple of examples I've heard on the radio recently, unfortunately I can't remember who sings either of 'em...:monkeydance:
"I am barely breathing, and I can't find the air..."
"I have become, comfortably numb..."
Anyone got any more?
I meant to add that we had read the post about the "ooo that smell" song. We also had learned from a nurse at clinicals that if we sing the song,"Stayin' Alive" ,in our heads, as we do chest compressions that we will be doing them as fast as we need to. So now everytime I go do that I can't get that out of my head.

"These wounds won't seem to heal, This pain is just too real, There's just too much that time cannot erase"
same band, Whisper,
"I know I can stop the pain, If I will it all away, Don't turn away, Don't give in to the pain, Don't try to hide, Though they're screaming your name, Don't close your eyes, God knows what lies behind them, Don't turn out the light, Never sleep never die" :stone

Ramones, later redone by the Offspring. I work with someone who isn't too happy that I like the offspring's version better.
