if I had just stuck my wet finger into a light socket to make my hair stand on end.
I went to my first A&P lecture last night and all I can say is WOW!!!
I took 10 pages of notes in a 3 hr 40 minute lecture and last night was the first class, so I'm guessing since we did the whole "hi this is anatomy and physiology 1 and my name is....." thing last night, that a regular lecture will by about 14-16 pages of notes. Writers cramp here I come .
But unfortunately, I LOVED IT!!!!!!!! My lab starts on Monday and I'm looking forward to going.

Hey Karen don't you worry about it. Believe me I was upset when I finally finished a&p and not for the reasons you might think. The reason I was upset was because I believed what I was reading on here about how hard and difficult the class is:banghead:; SO NOT TRUE!!!!! If you go to all your classes and don't miss any classes, especially labs (labs are hard to make up) you'll do just fine! Trust me!!!!!!
Oh and enjoy your lab, I know I did. My favorite muscle would definitely have to be the sternocleidomastoid... the name alone did it for me!

HOW FUNNY!!!! I love to say STERNOCLEIDOMASTOID as well :smokin:. We did that one last semester in Human Bio but we only did 18 muscles and about 30 or so bones. I just finished printing the powerpoint slides from the instructors website and now 2 days later, it doesn't seem so bad.

yeah i took sports medincine in high school then did my senior year intern as a sports medicine assitant. we have to know like every bone and muscle and stuff it was crazy! it helps to have part of the bone/joint/area in the name so its easy to remember where it goes!!!

I'm just starting my A&P I as well and I LOVE it so far! I'm excited to go through it!!! Then right into A&P II w/ my same teacher and everything...so it's like one super long A&P class....luckily our teacher posts her outline on the web before the lecture so we don't have as much writing to do....still a ton, but not as much! Enjoy! I can't wait for labs!!!!

Mine is gastrocnemius. Most of the students in my class couldn't remember it, and I thought it had the coolest sound when you say it, because you have to kind of pause in your throat to say that "c" followed by "n". :) Plus it had two heads -- sort of science-fiction-like!

Hey there!!
At least you threw in the "I love it!" part!
I despise my ap2 professor but I really do love science and believe me, that helps.
I'm an ap1 veteran so if you need help with anything, holla!
I would be glad to help! I highly recommend using Dr. Netter's atlas of the human body (like $20 bucks at borders or b&n) and the Thomas Rust photographic guide to anatomy lab (GREAT for lab!!! it takes b&w pictures of slides so you don't get stuck on the infamous "color" problem)
