Hey fellow nursing students,

We're @ a great age to be nursing students! Some of us are juggling families, homes, and jobs. We are in college because we WANT to be! We can be a big help to eachother and get through this if we will stick together. We are all valuable and desperately needed. Nursing is tough, but if you have made the decision to go to school to earn the title "Nurse" then you can do this. I love this forum and these boards can really be an asset to you.

I'm a LPN back in school for my ADN. I am planning to become a CNM. (also interested in Women's Health NP) I'm a geographic single mom because my husband is in the Navy and stationed on a ship 10 hours away. My boys are both school age, but I still have to worry about sick days, school cancellations, etc... and that is my main stress. My husband is very supportive and it was my choice to spend the "sea" time working on my degree.

I hope to make friends with you all and I welcome you to email me if you ever need to vent or whatever. Take care and I'll see ya on the boards!

Happy Nursing~Angie

Oh Yeahhh....I'm almost 30!

Angie, great post!! I probably spend way too much time here, but it's very educational. :chuckle Let's introduce our selves...I'll start.

My name is Jeri(nursejws), I'm 31, married, and looking for a job! I recently changed my major, again, to nursing, and am very excited about being a nurse. The older I get the more I want to help people and try to make a difference in someone's life. My husband and I live in Texas and have 2 cats. I am in the process of taking my pre-req's, before getting accepted into nursing school. Two years after I graduate, I plan on going back for my BSN and maybe more.

My husband and two of my brothers are happy for me, and think I'll be a great nurse. My Mom and sister think I'm CRAZY! I think deep down, I've always wanted to be a nurse, but didn't think I could handle all of the bodily fluids. :lol2: It took me 31yrs, and changing my major twice to realize I could!!!!

Hi! I am an in betweener as well! I am 29, married to a wonderful guy who drives me nuts, and I have two really energetic and cute little boys, ages 3 and 5.

I am working on my ADN and it will take me a while to get through school because I am a SAHM.

Today I was offered a position as a unit secretary on an ICU florr on wkends and I think I'm going to take it for extra $$ and experience.

Anyway, look forward to chatting with everyone!

:D
