SJSU Spring 2018

Published

Hey guys, I have not yet seen a thread for the SJSU Spring 2018 Nursing Program... so I decided to make one! I know it's a little early to start posting, but I am too excited and wanted to meet others that are applying! Here is a thread for all questions/concerns/comments! Hope to see and meet you all!!

I had a friend who was admitted in spring 2017 and she was told that 200 people applied whereas this spring 2018 160 people applied.

Did you mean 160 complete and eligible applications? Because someone else in the thread earlier mentioned that they received 247 applications to process, but we aren't sure how many are actually eligible yet:(

See you guys in the Spring! Just got my acceptance into the program through the RN to BSN program.

Omg, so early! They are starting to send out the letters? I'm so scared.

Congrats! Is RN to BSN track the same as traditional BSN track or is it a separate one?

Honestly, I am not sure. I took h100w and nursing research while attending evc.

I couldn't believe it when I opened it! I hope the best for you phantomsbabe!

Thanks so much!

In the pre reqs i got English: A, Stats: B, Anatomy: B, Phsysiology: B, Microbiology: A.

TEAS: 84%

Overall GPA: 3.57

Do I honestly even stand a chance....

Hey phantomsbabe, I looked at one of your old posts and saw that you said your supplemental GPA doesn't meet the cut off. I was wondering if you retook any of those classes and raised your supplemental GPA. If your supplemental GPA meets the required GPA, then I'm sure you have a good chance of being accepted! I looked at the previous Spring 2017 thread and saw someone with a 6.1 getting accepted.

I petitioned to have it exempted and it was approved!

Congratz! I'm not exactly sure how the Rn to BSN works, but did your impaction score count for your process? If so, what was your impaction score if you don't mind me asking?

It is a bridge program that evc has with sjsu. We have to have the grades and our RN, wst, etc.. completed. As far as impaction score, I had a 3.7gpa and I got an 84 on the teas. Not sure what my impaction score would be sorry.
