  1. We also need these books, which are all for NURS 33: Essentials of Nursing Practice Package (the booklist said to wait until the first day of class for more info on these books) California Nursing Practice Act with Regulations and Related Statutes | LexisNexis Store SJSU School of Nursing Student Handbook, which can be found at the A.S. Print Shop, but it's also online on the Nursing webpage. Idk if we have to buy it even though we can access it electronically.
  2. If anyone is looking for a CPR/BLS class with American Heart Association, check this page out: Class Connector Search Home- American Heart Association If you want to take it with American Red Cross, you can find classes here: CPR Training with Red Cross | American Red Cross Personally, I will be taking an AHA BLS for Health Care Providers course with this place: San Jose BLS Renewal - Lowest Price in Santa Clara County They are certified with American Heart Association. It's $60 for the class, and $20 for an AHA BLS book, but you can get it on Amazon for less than $15.
  3. No, HPRF 100W is correct. You can take HPRF/NURS/HS 100W, and I believe CHAD 100W in place of Area Z.
  4. You can check out American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  5. I was planning on going to my PCP after 12/10, because I think it'll be more expensive at the Student Health Center. Lmk how it goes though!
  6. Thanks for letting me know! I just checked it out and it's not too bad. I signed up for hatha yoga, but I think I might drop it and add COMM 80, it's more flexible and easy.
  7. You should check out hatha yoga, it's really early in the morning, but it doesn't require much physical movement compared to bowling or ice skating. What's your schedule for nursing?
  8. You can actually apply to NURS 100W right now I think. HPRF/NURS/HS 100W are the same classes; they're combined into one class. I'm currently taking a NURS 100W class right now. I also need a 1 unit class, I'm currently looking at KIN classes, but I'm not too sure if there's any that fits my schedule.
  9. I just got my letter!!! I got accepted! My impaction score was 3.23, so I'm sure all of you guys got in too :)
  10. Congrats peachtea and vuhsache!!
  11. Just checked my mail and I got not letter yet. I was hoping to get it today...even more anxious now. I hope it comes Friday.
  12. Hey jbnursing17, what is your impaction score if you don't mind me asking EDIT: nvm lol, i didn't read your comment fully..congratulations!
  13. I feel you, I'm only interested in Nursing too. Have you taken all the other sjsu studies courses: Area R, S, V? If you want, you can check out Public Health. It's currently my backup major.
  14. For Spring semester, I highly recommend picking your back up major classes right now, just in case things don't go as planned. As for Nursing classes, you pick that after you get accepted.
  15. Thanks for updating us! I hope we all get in!
