SJSU Spring 2018

Hey guys, I have not yet seen a thread for the SJSU Spring 2018 Nursing Program... so I decided to make one! I know it's a little early to start posting, but I am too excited and wanted to meet others that are applying! Here is a thread for all questions/concerns/comments! Hope to see and meet you all!!

I am currently taking my last pre-req for the program which is Microbiology. Once I get my official grade, I will post my impaction score!

Also some changes I heard that will be occurring for our application period is the minimum GPA increased to 3.2 as well as the TEAS test minimum will increase.

Hello all!! So for now my impaction score is

GPA- 3.8

TEAS- 75.3%

Impaction score- 6.31

*Note: I took the TEAS test last year so I'm am going to take it again this summer!

Is it official that the changes will occur?

Hi!! I believe the changes are official. If you check on the BSN Packet it says that "Effective Feb 2018 for beginning Fall 2018 applications, the impaction criteria will be changing. Minimum GPA for 5 prerequisite courses (Anat/ Physiol/ Micro/Stats 95/ English 1 A) will then be 3.2, and the TEAS minimum will also be raised to a minimum of 78%."

But the crazy thing is, it says that it will begin for Fall 2018 and not Spring 2017, so it may not affect us!

Hi all, I missed the fall 2017 application. I am going to apply for spring 2018. my both GPA :3.85 my teas: 78

anybody has any idea about how much chance I will have for the spring 2018?and is it true that we can apply only twice for sjsu nursing?

yes they are taking transfer as usual.

I went to the bsn information meeting and they said you can only apply twice. ):

Hi all! My impaction score is 6.65

GPA- 3.70

TEAS - 88.7%

for nursing CAS, does anyone know if we need to send AP scores if they're not relating to our nursing pre reqs?

Hi folks. I am a second semester student in the program and I'd like to help answer any questions you might have regarding applications or the program, or really just anything. I like coming on these threads to help out because I honestly wish I had someone do the same for me when I was applying to help answer my questions, so hopefully I can do that for you! :)

Okay I know zombazomba mentioned they usually take transfer students durin Spring. Though, it was mentioned that they have not accepted transfer students the past 4 years..?
