Hey Guy! I am creating this for those applying to SJSU Fall 2021 nursing program. I wanted to see what the applicant pool looks like! Here's my stats so far:
Big 5 GPA: 4.0
TEAS: 80%
Impaction score: 6.66
I don't feel so confident due to how competitive it's been :/
@alexwalters92Wasn't me--but I hope we all get in! I'll be on the edge of my seat for the next 2.5 months!

Same lmao. Well, thats reassuring, someone else told me about their friend getting in with similar stats
Hello,
I’m not applying for Fall 2021 but for Spring 2022! I was curious about the impaction scores and statistics because I am not the most confident in my chances, even if SJSU is my dream nursing program. I’m currently taking Microbiology, which is the last of the Big 8 courses.
Big 8 GPA (assuming I get an A in Microbiology): 3.62
TEAS: 95%
What will my impaction score be, and what do you think of my chances? And please don’t look down on me for having a much lower GPA than the other students here ?

I'm currently a nursing student at SJSU. I know the application process and the events leading up to the decision can be stressful, so I'm here to answer some questions to help you guys out a little bit. Good luck with the start of your journey!
Hey! Thanks for posting this!! Would you mind sharing your TEAS/GPA in the big 5 (or 8?) and what semester you were admitted?

I got a 92 on my TEAS with around a 3.6 GPA and was admitted for Spring. A higher GPA would be ideal for fall admission due to its more competitive nature. But don't lose hope! SJSU was my do or die school and it took me two applications to get accepted (also had to retake the TEAS again since my first score was low 80's). If you don't get accepted for fall 2021 and you know you have decent stats you can choose to still attend the university to be eligible for Spring 2022 which is a much smaller application pool.

is Spring admission only for sjsu students?
Hi guys,
I know that we have to send our transcripts to nursing, but do we have to send to sjsu as well before feb 15?

Yes, Spring is only for current sjsu students and those with prior bachelor's degree.
You don't have to send any transcript to the school itself until they specifically request you to. Go to your sjsu account and it will say in your "to do list" if they need a transcript.

If we don't get in to the program but we get into sjsu for our alternative major, we can apply for Spring nursing? I never knew that! that's good information. thank you! :)
for those who have scored above 90 on TEAS... what tools helped you the most, and any tips ? ❤️

LITERALLY! I got 89.6 in micro. It was like 3 points from an A. I was so salty when she hit me with the B. I slayed myself that semester for that grade too??
I took a 4 unit micro class. Program coordinator said it should be fine as long as it had the lab included.
