I heard SJRCC has an RN program and it actually requires less pre reqs than FCCJ is this true? Is it better to do the nursing program at SJRCC I also heard you dont have to take a math class? wow I honestly think I would do anything to get out of college algebra at FCCJ. So has anybody looked into their program or pre reqs?
Congratulations! That is great. SJRCC must be doing something right. Did you go to OP or Palatka? How is the job market for new grads?
Thank you,
I went to the Palatka Campus. As for the Job Market for new grads... Good luck! There are still a few in my class that haven't found a Job. Maybe when you get out of school the market might change. I would also advise on picking a Externship at a hospital you would like to work. Make sure you network before graduation. I used all my networking from the program to get some type of job. I was offered LTC, Home Health, Dialysis, and a County Jail job. Although, I am waiting to get into a hospital (ICU), I think that's where my passion is. I have an interview next week for an ICU job and a Med-Surg at another hospital.
Good Luck

That's great you had so many interviews. I plan to network and try to get a part time patient care tech job during school to get my foot in the door. Good luck finding your dream job! Post back to keep us updated.

Did the Nursing Dept say mid-November recently? I think it will take longer than last time because this is the first application period with new admissions guidelines. Just my opinion. When I turned in my application I was told the end of October so if they now say November something must be delaying the selection process.
