SJDC ADN FALL 2016

Hi everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for the people who are applying to San Joaquin Delta College's nursing program for FALL 2016 cohort. I know the application period is still a month away but I'm just so excited. I still need to take my TEAS. Maybe we can all get to know each other and compare scores?

Can't believe it's still not open and they won't even publish estimated date! Has anyone ever applied there? Is that a normal thing for them?

I am a first semester student in the ADN program. YES, THIS IS A NORMAL THING FOR THEM! Our application period, deadlines, dates, instructions, directions, etc. were ALL jumbled, confusing, cancelled, rescheduled, etc! AND THERE IS NOT A LOT OF COMMUNICATION! Good luck guys! =)

Thanks for the info. It is nice to hear from someone who is experiencing it. Is the program itself just as unorganized or just the admission stuff?

Does anyone know when your degree posts to the transcipt? I applied for my AS today and I know I won't get it in the mail for months, but was wondering if anyone knows it it is posted to the transcipt any sooner. I really am hoping it posts soon after the semester ends rather than months later

I finished my degree last semester. It was posted on my transcripts the first or second week of Jan. I think those set to graduate in May will post quicker because there is not a long break with the staff like there is in Dec/Jan.

The application JUST OPENED TODAY! :yes:

I applied with 67.5 points, but I've been reading the SJDC SPRING2016 Applicant's posts, and they said the point range went down to at least 66 points! I have noticed though, with all school applicant statistics, that the FALL Semesters have a higher point margin for acceptance than spring. This can be seen in ARC applications, Sierra college, and I'm guessing for SJDC as well.

All we can do is hope the point range stays the same... I did also read that someone in the mid 50's point range got it. I'm not sure whether it was through the alternate list or not, but best of luck to everyone for this application period!

If it's okay, I'd like to know if everyone feels like posting their calculated points?

Hi Kittysteve!

It seems like you have a good score to get in, I'm worried about mine though because I only have 56.5:cry: But its worth a shot right! If I don't get in for Fall 2016 I can apply for Spring 2017 with the extra points for my associates degree I will be getting this semester. Ive also read that someone has gotten in in the mid 50s range so that gives me hope. It's embarrassing to have this low amount of points but oh well I guess we will see when the time comes. I'm also applying to 3 other colleges so I have more than one option just in case. Delta is my first choice school though since I live so close so I'm hoping I get in here !

Ejcortes7, how did you fill in the science pre-reqs for course name/number? Did you write Human Anatomy/BIOL 031 or did you just write BIOL 31?

I did it like this : BIOL 031

I also was thinking about doing it with the name but then I read it over and it only said course name and number.
