SJDC ADN FALL 2016

Hi everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for the people who are applying to San Joaquin Delta College's nursing program for FALL 2016 cohort. I know the application period is still a month away but I'm just so excited. I still need to take my TEAS. Maybe we can all get to know each other and compare scores?

I talked to someone this morning in Health Science dept about another issue and asked about the application. They said "maybe" next week but they dont know for sure and that the app will be up for two weeks. The computer issues must be bad if they still think it wont be up until next week.. I also hope it gets resolved sooní ½í¸’ This plus not getting answers to other questions is making me lose confidence in them a bit

Oh wow...I have a friend who just started the program in Jan and she said they are very unorganized! They must be re-doing the whole application because the psych tech and rad tech apps seem to be on schedule. This is a bit frustrating!

Yikes! Now Im more nervous. Mjc was my second choice but I am considering them maybe for my first. The NCLEX pass rates were under 80% for last year too which concerned me. I am sure they will get it together but now I dont know if I want to be there while they are figuring it out. I think I will apply to both and see. Thanks for the info about your friend. Its good to hear from an insider what is actually going on rather than wondering

Hey guys! I was planning on applying for Fall 2016 like everyone else here, but I just noticed on their website that you now need human development class too? I am really bummed. I would have taken that class last semester if I would have know.

Do you attend Delta or a different school?

I attend MJC. I did see that it said if you are a Delta student you can use your catalog rights from that year. I applied for Spring 2016, I wonder if that makes any difference? Probably not though

Wow I wonder what kind of changes they are making. It sucks that its taking forever for the application to be up! All other colleges already have the information ready for Fall 2016. I guess its kind of a good thing for me though since I have to retake the TEAS lol
