SJDC ADN FALL 2016

Published

Hi everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for the people who are applying to San Joaquin Delta College's nursing program for FALL 2016 cohort. I know the application period is still a month away but I'm just so excited. I still need to take my TEAS. Maybe we can all get to know each other and compare scores?

Good luck to all of us !

So I called the health sciences Dept again today and the lady said they don't know when the online app will be up, but when it goes up it is only open for 10 days. She said just keep checking everyday. So if any of you see that it's up, please update this thread with the info. I will do the same! [emoji16]

Thanks hardwrkingmama !

i check like everyday so I will definitely let you guys know! Lol I think it'll open Monday.

Hello:) so when the application opens will the link be on the page where it says " The application for Spring 2016 is now closed" in red? Just wondering because there are a few pages with ADN info and I want to make sure Im not missing something somewhere.

OP did you take the TEAS? How was it?

SweetandSalty I believe that's where the link will be along with an announcement and link on the home page of the Delta website.

Hey guys.

yes I took the TEAS and I'm soooooooo sad about my score. :( I got a 73 . Every Time I think about it I get so bummed out. :( lol I have a 3.3 GPA in my sciences so that only gives me 26 points. I think I'm going to retake the teas this week depending on if delta allows me to take another one within such a short time frame from when I first took it.

I would call the health services Dept and ask about retaking it. Have you already looked to make sure there were testing dates still available? I wouldn't get too upset, now you know what the test is like so you can go back and rock it![emoji6]

Yes I just called them a while ago and they said there are no parameters in regard to when I retake the test :) the only thing that matters is they only accept the best score out of 3 tries. and I checked there is a TEAS test date in Salida at University of Phoenix on the 9th so I might just try there! Im nervous though.. have any of you heard about taking it there? Yes I need to make sure to bring a snack or something because at the end I got soo tired and hungry.. but thanks hardwrkingmama! I hope so

I took my Teas there! It was fine. I have no complaints. Another thing to consider if you want to still apply this time is how quickly ATI can get the results to Delta. If there is a lag time you might want to check other testing sites. I know a few people took it an Sac State and they have alot of time slots.

The tests results are available immediately through ATI and can be electronically sent the same day the test was taken. It really does not matter where you take the test.

Okay great! yes I checked but MJC & Sac state are booked until the end of February :( I think Salida is my best bet, I don't think it should be a problem. I studied a lot for this test so I don't know why I did so poorly, but I think Ill just focus studying the science because thats what killed me.

Now that you know what to expect, Im sure you will do great. You technically only need to score somewhere in the 60s to qualify but its just so competitive. That works out great that you can have results the same day. I didn't know that:) Technology is great!!:)

Thanks sweetandsalty!

I hope I do better lol I really want to go to deltas program .. have you guys heard about the Merced nursing program ? I can't find any reviews on it on here . And i guess delta is not putting up the application today :(

Ejcortes7...sorry, I don't know anything about Merced and their nursing program. Delta's issues are driving me crazy! They need to get it together quickly! [emoji35]
