I know I should ask the school directly, but I wanted to ask here. I am applying to multiple schools to increase my chances of getting into an RN program. They all require a Biology class as a pre-req to apply, what I wonder is, does my A&P 1 count? it's a biology class so I'm hoping I can use that without needing to take yet another biology class, anyone have experience with this?
thanks

Here, you have to take biology as a prereq for anatomy and physiology. Is that not the case at your school?
Since A&P are prereqs, I can't imagine they'll count that as a general bio course. Plenty of people have to take something that seems extraneous, but you'll want a good understanding of general biology when you go into nursing.

Around here they require Chem as a pre-req to A&P and A&P is a pre-req to even apply to the nursing program, so I wasn't sure if I could use that as I biology I need as a pre-req too.

Most likely you will need the biology class for the degree but Not for the nursing application.
I have same issue.
Take it after 1st semester you start the actual program because what you do after acceptance and before program start can be held against you (letter of acceptance is not a done deal ).

Not likely. Biology and A&P aren't the same thing.

No. Biology and A&P are not the same thing. If Biology is a prereq, then you will have to take it to apply. But many colleges use Biology as a prereq to A&P. So you will probably need to do an entry level Bio class.
THanks, I was thinking it might be since it's under the BIOL category here. :)
