Silly nursing license question

This might be silly but I haven't received my license in the mail yet. Is there a spot to sign it so that it is valid or is it just good as is ?

A growing number of states no longer issue physical, paper or plastic, licenses -- everything is through the BON website. Do you know for sure that your state is sending you an actual license?

What elkpark said. FWIW, my State license is an 8.5x11 piece of printed heavy paper, suitable for framing (no signing, like a diploma or degree). Never signed anything other than the application and renewal forms :)

I have a license from the smallest state in the Union that's a huge piece of heavy paper, like 14 x 17, gold leaf, curly calligraphy, the whole nine yards; no wallet card. I have one that's a hard plastic card like a credit card. I have a few that are sort of 5x8, one plain wallet card (paper), and a few that are virtual only-- you can look them up online, but I have nothing to copy and send to people who want to see my license.

My state of residence stopped issuing wallet-sized nursing licenses in September 2008 as one way of curbing the epidemic of identity theft by nurse impostors (and we have our fair share of nurse impostors in this large state).

as of a couple of years ago, my last renewal, I could get a handy-dandy wallet card for....THIRTY bucks! Declined the offer ;)

Indiana hasn't sent licenses for a few years now...

In Florida we still get a paper license and a wallet size one. I have only signed the wallet.
