I just talked to a coworker and her friend is an LVN and applied last year got in but got pregnant so she is starting this fall. So that’s 1 less spot LOL. I wonder how many of those types of situations there is? Also I didn’t realize if you are an LVN you can apply to both the regular application or the LVN bridge

Crap! LOL good for her though. Any tips from anyone on how to get into a patient care hospital job? Killing myself at this dialysis clinic atm

Sutter Health has these positions called "Patient Care Support Specialist." You don't need to be CNA or MA but it's position that involves hands on patient care. They help assist the RN with vitals, height and weight, stuff like that. Try applying there if you can. They have PCSS' all over the hospitals and EDs. I also have a friend that worked at New Dawn clinics (detox) before she started nursing school and you don't need a CNA or MA certification for that either.

Right?! Waiting sucks

Even seeing notifications on this post scares me as it might mean emails went out, and I didn’t get one since I check it all the time waiting for one! The wait never gets easier with application periods.

I know the feeling. Hopefully we will get in. Ugh fingers crossed

OMG SAME!!
I saw these and went “oh f***” thinking people were posting they got in and I have yet to receive an email. This waiting is KILLING ME!! Ahhh

I saw a student nurse at work she slightly mentioned they were “crazy” right now there. I’m not sure with what but that could mean we might be waiting awhile longer. ?

I have to say when I saw The few emails From this convo my heart sank. Just an absolute stress ball

SAME! I was SO nervous to read the emails!

I saw a few nursing students on campus today and asked them if they knew anything about it or where they’re at. They didn’t & said they found out the day after the enrollment period (4/16), they were surprised to hear the enrollment period changed but suggested sending an email to the nursing department. I haven’t wanted to because I don’t want to be a pest but at their suggestion, I just did. I asked if we could expect to see an email any day or by the end of the month.

I’ll be sure to share the answer I receive with y’all here if/when I get it. ??

OK! Fingers crossed ?? I would rather just know and move on with whichever happens getting in or not. The wait is very stressful and the unknown is enough to absolutely drive me nuts!

Hey guys,

We can all keep holding our breath for a few more weeks— I’m copying and pasting the response:

  • “You should expect an email within the first 2 weeks of April.“

Let’s hope it doesn’t come on April Fool’s Day to further spin our heads out of control.?? ??‍♀️

OK here we go! I will still check everyday hahaha
