Hiii, I saw there wasn't a page for this yet. SO I decided to start one. Anyone submit their app yet? I just got accepted to SHSU and applied to the Woodlands campus. :)

How long did it take you all to get accepted into SHSU? I'm applying last minute and am worried that I won't get accepted into SHSU soon enough to be able to apply to the nursing program.

It took them about 2 weeks to send my acceptance letter and that was within the last month, so I say go for it.

I have applied to Sam Aswell! This will be my 2nd time. Fingers crossed. Does anyone know how to check our immunization status?

You have to ask your doctor for you immunizations record, after he or she has given you a copy you must check the immunizations that you have received in comparison to SHSU Nursing School Requirements. That should tell you your status. If there are any that you are missing or any that you have not yet gotten, make sure you get them ASAP!

Anyone think it's odd that we have to have all of our immunizations completed? My friends at UTMB said they didn't have to do it until after they were accepted. I guess this is a nice way to get it out of the way....

You must have 2 doses of MMR, Varicella, and HepB by the time the application is due. And you must also have titer results for HepB that prove immunity.

I have officially turned in my application! Yay! I am so nervous. I sent over my TEAS and also all of my vaccinations. Good luck to everyone!
