SHSU Spring 2018

Published

Hiii, I saw there wasn't a page for this yet. SO I decided to start one. Anyone submit their app yet? I just got accepted to SHSU and applied to the Woodlands campus. :)

I am too! Do you have any idea what the average amount of students they admit is?

I think that they admit 60 students.

WOW. That's crazy... Fingers crossed

I still have yet to turn in my application, but I will be turning it in soon as soon as I can get a hold of someone in regards to my granted credits. I took Chem at Lonstar College and yet they only credited me 3 credit hrs instead of 4... Not sure if that will effect me or not...

My stats:

GPA 3.4

Reading: 85%

Math: 91%

Good luck to everyone!

I'm very worried because of the amount of people that get accepted, and because my GPA isn't that great. I can't wait until I know my decision at least then I won't be so worried

I know, I'm worried too but we have to be brave. í ½í²ª

Finally completed my application today, emailed immunization records, and had TEAS transcript sent. I've applied to 8 nursing programs for Spring 2018, so now the wait begins.

Hey Brandon, nice to see another boy applying, what are your stats?

TAKE 2! I applied to SHSU for the Fall (17) and didnt get in.. my GPA was a 3.33 and 78 TEAS. Only 65 of 230 were accepted. It was the only program I applied to for that semester because I hadn't finished Chem 2 to be able to apply to UTHSCSA. This time-around I'm reapplying to SHSU with a 3.5 GPA and 82.7 TEAS! And applied to TWU and UTHSCSA .. :D

Have any of y'all completed any courses at SHSU??

nope í ½í¸…

My stats aren't great thanks to several B's and a C from 20 years ago. My science GPA is 3.75 and my nursing pre-requisite GPA is somewhere between 3.4 & 3.5. TEAS score is 83.3.

How long did it take you all to get accepted into SHSU? I'm applying last minute and am worried that I won't get accepted into SHSU soon enough to be able to apply to the nursing program.
