Hiii, I saw there wasn't a page for this yet. SO I decided to start one. Anyone submit their app yet? I just got accepted to SHSU and applied to the Woodlands campus. :)

Do they only consider Reading & Math for the TEAS? I scored well, but thought they looked at all four scores?? Why not science I wonder since it's a BSN? Also, is there a point system you guys see somewhere?

To my knowledge, no point system.

From SHSU's admissions page: "Reading and Math sub-scores will be looked at a higher rate than other sub-scores" They still look at all sections

Hi all. Just in case any of you are scrambling last minute, no need to panic:

Due to Hurricane Harvey and the closure of SHSU, the Spring 2018 application deadline for TEAS scores, transcripts, and immunizations has been extended to September 8, 2017. The nursing application in step 2 will close automatically on September 1, 2017. If you were unable to submit your application due to loss of internet connection during the storm, we will be able to re-open the application once we return on 9/5/17. Please email [email protected] if you have questions. We will be monitoring this email periodically.

That was taken off the nursing application website. Hope everyone is safe.

Yeah, probably because of the storm!

Update: Retook the TEAS and scored an 80% overall!

Reading: 83%

Math: 96%

We should find out withing 8 business days from the 9th when everything closes. I am retaking TEAS tomorrow. Last stats were 83% in reading and 91% in math but I want to try and do better! Hoping my CNA and extra points for classes taken at Sam will help push me through!!

It will that never changes even if you get excepted or denied. They only tell you through email.
