Should I hold out for a hospital job?

I just recently took and passed the NCLEX in December. I've been applying at a few nearby hospitals but was just offered a job at a physicians practice out of the blue. I'm kinda hesitant to take it for 2 reason: 1) lower pay and 2) losing/not developing the fundamental skills of a nurse. I wanted to work med-surg or even ccu but I'm just not sure what to do. I would like to know what ya'll think, any insight would be much appreciated.

You can learn tons of good nursing skills in a doctor's office :) And any job is better than no job. You might have an easier time getting a hospital job with some experience under your belt. That's just my opinion, though.

Take the job but keep applying.

I would have took (almost) anything when I was looking for a job. This is especially so because it was hard to find jobs around my area. I would take it until something else pops up. It is hard to tell when something else arises, but this will give you good experience until then.

I would take it and keep applying like the previous poster said. Think about this: What if you turn it down and don't get another job offer for 6 months. Will you be kicking yourself then?
