Hi everyone,
I really would like anyone's opinion here because I just really do now know which route to go. Is there any serious advantages of doing the BSN over the ADN? Will I have a really hard time finding a job ( I live on Long Island), with just my ADN? Any input is great! Thank you !

I've always heard that it's better to go for your BSN if you want to go into a management position eventually. I'm not really sure what your circumstances are though. Do you have any pre-reqs completed yet and are there a lot of nursing schools in your area?
Yeah I heard the same thing actually.. And yeah I have all of the pre reqs done pretty much and a lot of other classes too... I think the BSN route is probably my best bet though

I am going for the bsn because I want to eventually become an NP but I know many RN's that work at hospitals. They tell me that some of the hospitals are giving nurses with adn a "timeframe" to get their bsn or else.......

If you have the time and $$, go on and get the BSN done and out of the way. I am facing the same decision, but the BSN is actually faster for me, making it less expensive in the long run.
Yeah was thinking the same thing. I think it may work out like that for me too because of all my pre reqs that I've gotten taken care of

Can I get someone's opinion. I want to do my ADN then go for my Masters, or should I do my BSN then Masters don't know what to do.
Hmm...didn't know you could jump from ADN to MSN. If you are shooting for the MSN, why would you not start with the BSN if you can?
There is a school here in CA Mount St. Mary's college. I have to look more in to it.:)

for the love of God, please use the search function
I don't know why your being so rude.
It's not rude. Its common sense. The search function is there for a reason. This question has been asked in different ways by different people in different places. No one can honestly tell you what you need. The best way OP can answer this question is to call all the local hospitals and clinics and ask HR what they are looking for in their area.
Again its common sense which is obviously not common....
