Shaved Mons - Phenomenon

Hey all, just finished my rotation in OBGYN. I nted the phenomenon of women keeping totally bare mons and lady partsl area. I figured this trend would phase out like most but this trend is continuing to grow larger according to the nurses that worked with me. All others seeing this same upward trend...

I was gonna say, that I used to be sans hair when I was younger, but once I gained/lost a few times with each of my 3 pregnancies, I decided that being clean shaven wasn't nearly as cute as it used to be:imbar Now I opt for maintained instead of bare, and I envy those who don't seem to care either way

i have been keeping bare since i was 15,because i just do not like the way hair looks or feels down there.

idk. i think many women and men just prefer to keep themselves clean shaven, no big deal.

what will happen when you get tired of or too old to shave all the time? won't it be very thick and long when it grows in? i guess we will see alot of really hairy old ladies in ltc 30 years from now. lol:d

Actually, if I recall correctly, hair usually becomes thinner and sporifice as the aging process progresses. So you will probably see the same nearly naked trend in long term care, it will just be courtesy of mother nature, lol.

OH GOOD!!! So there is hope for me yet!!!

I've just started nursing school so I guess I'll be seeing (or not seeing) for myself in a few quarters. lol Actually I have a friend who had it all lasered. It is pricey, but worth it apparently. Never shave again! Or Wax. lol Sooo, one thing that's on my "I've graduated and have money now list" is Laser! Can't wait for the freedom. lol:D

Unfortunately, this is not correct. Permanent hair removal is not always accomplished and re growth can occur in even the best candidates who have had multiple "treatments."

Of course it's their business, but I'd never want a razor near my personal area.

Interesting post.... and how the heck does a 9 month pregnant woman even reach the area!

A local writer described it this way-- men have a unit, women have an area.

1) It is not the 1970's anymore (less hippies)

2) I have never known of a dude that truly enjoys trekking through a jungle in some chick's bedroom

True Gila. It may come back. They say the best candidates have sporifice coverage from the beginning. I guess you just go back till it doesn't come back.lol otherwise it could look kinda tufty.lol I'm hoping it works for me. I got time for them to improve their technique.:D lol at unit and area. Being pregnant and trying to landscape was hard. Being a pretzel made me tired.

Even though my oldest daughter, age 27, is a fan of shaving (found that out when she was giving birth to my first grandchild:imbar), I still don't understand why anyone would do that to herself. I had kids back in the old days when total shaves were required prior to childbirth, and I always dreaded it because it ITCHES so badly when the hair grows back in!! There's nothing quite so embarrassing as being in the middle of a polite conversation when the urge to claw yourself in your most intimate areas strikes......I can't imagine shaving there voluntarily.
