So like our predecessors I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all the new applicants for Sharp's summer 2013 new grad program. I just applied today and can't believe how nervous I am since I hit that submit button!! Good luck to all!!
It's actually part-time. nights/days variability. Two 12hour shifts/week. I'm assuming 2 people will get nights and 2 will get days. I asked her if we would have to be part time the entire year residency and she said some nurses secure a full-time job in one of the areas they rotate to before the residency is over. I'm not sure if we are guaranteed a job at the conclusion of the program. I am flying to SD from Las Vegas for the interview.. I hope its worth the trip!!

bebejasmine, in case you didn't know, you can deduct this trip from your income tax. You can write off job-seeking expenses (it is legal). Ask your accountant about it. I'm about to fly next week for an interview and will most definitely write all of that off!
I got lucky and am one of eight interviewees for Grossmont PCU. HR told me there were 1,600 applicants for the four positions. 50/50, like Triangulum.Good luck everyone!
It was 1600 overall that applied to the different units that Sharp is offering. LOL. I'm not sure how many applied specifically to the PCU Residency at Grossmont though. I forgot to ask the recruiter.
