i find that a lot of people who post have a lot of great saying attached to there post for example like

"i am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how i react to it." (charles swindoll) if you want to make god laugh, tell him your plans

i find it hard to go through everyones posting to find great saying so thought i start a tread so you can post yours and this way i can have a collection of saying all in one spot .........some of them are really funny, some are deep and make you think, some are sweet ...so please post and share your sayings since some of them are really great to read...........thanks angela

i have a long distance relationship with my boyfriend he is away so i love to write to him and add a little quote or story something to make him laugh or think or smile or just feel thought of so appreciate your contributions to my attempting to getting a collection thanks

Here is one from my mother...."You can't erase the spoken word" & I find it helps to remember that once it comes out of your mouth you can apologize but the sentiment you created was already felt, no matter how forgiven. Here is the one my kids will attribute to me one day...."You never really & truely know what you will do in any given situation until, if & when you are faced with it yourself. Only then will you discover not only what you are made of but how best to live with yourself despite it" I guess it is my way of saying it is better not to judge nor even project what you believe you will do if 'blank' happens to you because no matter how brave, resourceful, righteous or whatever we think we are it is how we actually react to our tragedies that counts & not how we say we will before having had to face them. Reminds us not to pass judgement on anyone who is doing the best they can with what they have to work with from an egocentric stand. ;) & ;;)

Lastly a thought to live by....If it is sticky & wet but doesn't belong to you, DON'T TOUCH IT!!!!

Here's some for you:

SUPPORT (Elizabeth Foley)

Friends in your life are like pillars on your porch: sometimes they hold you up and sometimes they lean on you.

COMMUNICATION (Jimi Hendrix)

Knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens.

ENDURANCE (Malcolm Forbes)

Diamonds are nothing more than chunks of coal that stuck to their jobs.

RESOLUTION (Jimmy Dean)

I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.

PURPOSE (Marie O'Conner)

It's not so much how busy you are, but why you are busy. The bee is praised; the mosquito is swatted.

INTERDEPENDENCE (Peter De Vries)

We are not primarily put on this earth to see through one another, but to see one another through.

Hope you like these.:)

“i do the very best i know how – the very best i can; and i mean to keep doing so until the end. if the end brings me out all right, what is said against me won’t amount to anything. if the end brings me out wrong, ten angels swearing i was right would make no difference.” --abraham lincoln (1809-1865)

how far you go in life is largely determined by how far you lift your expectations for yourself, daily. expect little and that's exactly what you will receive. expect achievement, and have a burning desire to make it happen, and achievement is what you will earn." --greg werner

For those of you who have teens, you've probably heard this one:

"Build a bridge and get over it." :lol2:

I heard this saying for most of my growing up years....it was one of my father's favorite sayings. His other favorite saying was the golden rule....unfortunately, it wasn't the golden rule most are familiar with...his version was:

The man who has the gold makes the rules!:trout:

Peace,
