Has anyone on here applied to this program?
I'm really confused. I called the graduate admissions yesterday and they told me I was on the waitlist. I called the school of nursing yesterday and they asked for my name and concentration and told me that I was number 8 on the waitlist. I assumed that this meant I was number 8 in my concentration (women's health).
My mom wanted me to call and check on my position on the waitlist today. I figured there was no way that it would have changed, but I called anyway, and the lady told me I am number 2 in my concentration. I asked how likely it would be that someone in my position would get in, and she didn't give a definitive answer but she seemed to think I shouldn't lose all hope, lol. I was too excited by my change in position to ask many other questions, but now I am confused. My dad thinks that I was number 8 on the overall waitlist and number 2 in my concentration. But why would they have an overall waitlist if they have a waitlist per concentration? And if not, how would I have moved up 6 spaces in one day?
Has anyone else checked on their position today?
I wasn't aware of an "overall" waitlist, nor was I assigned an overall waitlist number. I'd like to call and check, but I've already called twice this week and I'm afraid they might be getting sick of me!
I'll check with the School of Nursing on Monday, but if there are any updates prior to next week, please let us know!

Hi futurenurseshelly, I got an email, but that was after I found out I was on the waitlist. I suggest calling the Graduate Admissions first. You will provide them your SFSU ID number, and they will let you know if you've been accepted/denied/waitlisted.
You can confirm with the school of nursing afterward. And if you've been waitlisted, they will be able to tell you your current position.
Best of luck!
