Hi everyone,
I just submitted my application to SFSU's ELMSN program for fall 2023. I didn't see a thread for this, so creating one here if you'd like to share your experiences, updates, and decisions! Based on the previous thread for fall 2022 it doesn't seem like we will hear from admissions until April. Best of luck to everyone!

I am just joining this conversation. Congrats to those who were admitted. I was admitted and have lots of questions. Is everyone in this group works?
Hi! Do you mean are we working through the program? I will be for sure, but I'm going to drop down to only around 20 hours per week.

You will know by August 18 at the latest. If you want to confirm your status as "waitlisted" then log into your SFSU gateway https://gateway.sfsu.edu/ . You'll see your name on the homepage as "waitlisted". They should have emailed you about creating a gateway account when you applied.

Hi!! Yeah I am waitlisted and been calling to see if I've moved up. I'm pretty close but I think I will have to just reapply next cycle. When I called they said that in order to move up the list someone from my concentration would have to drop the program.

Wow, so frustrating! I had no idea that concentration is a criterion. I thought if you are #6 for example, and 6 of the 20 accepted don't take the offer then you get in. I thought I had a very good chance, but now not so sure. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah I feel your frustration LOL. I thought it was strange that I hadn't moved up the list since when I found out I was waitlisted so I called and asked how people move up the list. The lady had said it looked like all the people offered admission accepted & that they take people off the list by concentration. It also seemed like there was more than 20 people waitlisted, like each concentration had a diff. amount of people waitlisted which was weird because the email said 20 were waitlisted so IDK. That's just crazy I wonder if they only admitted 4-6 people per concentration bc I thought the program as a whole only admitted 20.

On the last page a person who got admitted said that out of the 20 admitted only 12 had signed up. I don't know if that person you spoke with meant that everyone from one concentration accepted or if she meant all concentrations. It would be so nice to know our chances, so we could plan our lives, but maybe we just end up waiting until August 18!
