SFSU ELMSN Fall 2023

Hi everyone,

I just submitted my application to SFSU's ELMSN program for fall 2023. I didn't see a thread for this, so creating one here if you'd like to share your experiences, updates, and decisions! Based on the previous thread for fall 2022 it doesn't seem like we will hear from admissions until April. Best of luck to everyone!

Why do you think this? I haven't gotten an email, even though email from them has been delivered successfully in the past. I wrote them but haven't heard back yet.

I'm sorry, but maybe it's a good thing? I think it's beautiful and interesting for sure... maybe lower cost of living.

I've lived in Miami, as well as in a variety of other places, and it is by far my favorite. I LOVED living in Miami. It's absolutely beautiful, the culture is so unique, and it feels like you're living in Latin America. Such an incredible experience. The only thing that sucks about it now is rent and general cost of living has skyrocketed since COVID, so expect to see SF rent prices and food prices. 

 

I recommend finding a place to live as close to campus as possible, as Miami traffic is insane. It might cost you more but it'll be worth it. Or find something along the metro mover line so you can take that instead of driving.

I'm guessing they were, as the email contained a link to add our names to a Google doc confirming our acceptance and 6 others have added theirs so far. Also there are 33 spots listed on the doc so I wonder if that's how many people were admitted....

I called on Friday and they called me back today. Now last time the information I got was incorrect so take this with a grain of salt... They have had technical issues is what I was told. They said the emails should go out today or in the next couple of days. I think they said the issue had more to do with the portal. Again I got incorrect info. last time so I don't know how much to trust this.

Nope. The acceptance email said we won't get our formal acceptance letters from the university for a couple weeks, so I'm guessing our status on our student portal won't change until around that time.

On Monday I received my letter recommending acceptance to the program. Today I received my formal letter of acceptance along with the link to be able to formally accept the offer. The deadline is May 1st for individuals to accept their offer or they will offer those spots on the waitlist. Good luck to everyone with which ever path they take.
