Hello, I created this post to see the overall applicant pool applying on Fall 2013 for the academic year 2014-2015. I wanted to open a new thread for those of you who are planning to apply to the BSN prelincensure program to SFSU, to share additional information, support each other, and to see how fierce the competition will be for this upcoming academic year.

Supplemental Criteria:

I haven't finished all of the requirements but when I do I'll update it.

Overall GPA: 3.55

Prereq GPA: 3.44 (still need physio lab and anatomy)

TEAS V Score: N/A (still in progress)

Supplemental Criteria: over 100 hours at SFGH (multi-cultural/health-related work), 3 semesters of Spanish (bilingual), and letter of recommendation (if applicable).

Hey! Kinda late but I applied with:

Overall GPA: 3.71

Prereq GPA: 3.79

TEAS: 94.7%

Supplemental: Volunteer experience in Dr.s office with multicultural experience because of their patient demographics.

I haven't heard anything yet from them so I am going crazy and cannot wait to find out if I got in!!

I also applied to CSUEB and Sac State but haven't heard anything from them either. I have gone to SFSU my whole college career so I really hope I get in here so I won't have to transfer schools. Fingers crossed!

has anyone else heard back from sf state aside from the rejection posted by ethan? the last email I got was back in January informing me that they weren't going to do interviews this year.

Bruin2010- nope, haven't heard anything as well since the email back in January re the interviews.

So anxious! I think we will hear very end of April

I haven't heard anything either! Seems strange that they would send out some denial letters earlier than others. The waiting game is killing me. Good luck to all of you, I hope we hear some good news soon.

Yeah I haven't heard back from them yet. I thought they were suppose to let us know around late April to early May. Also, I was wondering they only send the acceptance through email correct? Best of luck to all of you!

I applied with 3.9 nursing GPA.

3.94 Overall GPA and 85.3 % on TEAS and volunteer experience.

I haven't heard back either! And I believe they do send acceptances through email!

Hopefully the fact that Ethan received a letter already means the rest of ours are coming soon, but it's weird that they would send one group letters and not others, considering its been over a week since he received his.

Fingers crossed for everybody.

... and 15% were accepted, that's more than a lot of schools!

I read somewhere that May 1st is the deadline to submit your intent to register at SF State. So if we get notified after, how does it work??? I'm confused. Maybe this just means they'll let us know before May 1st?

You submit your intent to enroll anyways! But hopefully we will know before then :)

That doesn't make sense though! haha. Especially with others who have heard back from other CSU programs. Hmmmmm
