September 2008 support group!

Published

Hi everyone..

I just scheduled my exam awhile ago and finally taking it this September 15, 2008.

I was looking for the September 2008 Support Group and found their is none in existence so i figured to start one. :D

I am currently on Saunder's 4th Ed. and some other references like, Exam Cram, Illustrated Study Guide for the NCLEX-RN Exam, Prioritization, Delegation Assignment by Linda LaCharity and other Q and A books by Saunder's and Mosby.

But i am focusing more on Saunder's, i just like to have other references to understand topics which i am weak in.

I wasn't a very good student before or wasn't that much focus with my studies while in school. That's why i am very anxious now with my upcoming exam.

Now I am giving my best in my review and hoping and praying that i may pass it on the first try.

I really want and dreampt of becoming an RN and finally i am a test closer to becoming one.

Good Luck to us and God Bless.

Good luck,AngelKisses

New week comming up...Good Luck

I'm going to try to do some studying and relaxing before Mon. I totalled my car yesterday, but I'm trying to stay focused and not let it bother me.

Thanks to alphakid who posted the A.A. prayer earlier, which I think is a nice prayer of encouragement for any situation for everybody

This one goes out especially to you...

The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity

to accept the things I cannot change;

courage to change the things I can;

and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;

Enjoying one moment at a time;

Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;

Taking, as He did, this sinful world

as it is, not as I would have it;

Trusting that He will make all things right

if I surrender to His Will;

That I may be reasonably happy in this life

and supremely happy with Him

Forever in the next.

Amen.

hi guys...

i love the support on here.

so i test tomorrow at noon. this will be my second time around. i didn't take kaplan the first time, and did this time. i think it has helped me.

so i was feeling confident everyday...and now i'm feeling super scared. anxiety is getting to me. uughhh. questions running through my mind like, did i do enough questions, do i know enough content, what if i fail again?

please pray for me and keep me in your thoughts for tomorrow...i know that i need to keep positive thoughts in my mind...but its kind of hard. i am married with 3 girls and i want to make them proud. they've been through enough with me when i was going to school and now...i just want to defeat this!

thanks again for all the support. my prayers go out to all of you as well. and i will surely let you all know how i do on wednesday (quick results).

Michee, sounds like we'll both be testing tomorrow at noon. Just try to stay focused, it sounds like you've been doing a great job studying and preparing this time around. I have also used Kaplan. I have one more Qtrainer that I want to take today. I keep trying to think about what should I be studying, but I think by this point, studying content is almost futile

Good luck to both of us! :redpinkhe

thanks!

we just have to believe in ourselves...

i keep telling myself that i only have 1 option...and thats to pass! i'm working on that confidence builder right now...as you can see.

if i dont see my name posted on the ca bon website after 7-10 days.. ill expect that i failed.

:no:

i am keeping my fingers crossed for you, mocha!!! :icon_hug: was the test about what you expected, or harder?

same as you.. if i dont see my name posted on the ca bon after 10 days.. ill assume ill fail. its kinna easy i think to be ready..

i think the test was fairly the same as the saunders book and i recommend that if dont have la charity book.. the priority and delegation, purchase one now and practice it before you take the boards.

some questions or topics was so simple that i over looked on reading about it. i focused on the harder topics but those didnt appear.

know the bascis.. lab values then the major diseases especially in endocrine. who to see first.. prioritzation and delegation.

well,,, who am i to advice not even knowing if i pass or fail.

I just took the last Q Trainer from Kaplan. I thought it was really hard, and I know people say that you're doing good to get in the 50's on this one. I was thrilled to score a 69%. That makes me feel more confident. I'll be sure to review the rationales as well. :)

Thank you Gwafuh 2busrn.

That is very good ChristineN cause im scoring 56%......I thought mine was very bad. but you are scoring good. keep up the good work.
