I know a lot of people ask if their semester sounds doable, and I'm going to be another one of those. Unfortunately, I've been trying to ask my husband, who just thinks I'm crazy in general. lol.
An accelerated anatomy and physiology 1 with lab - 4 credits
Nursing assistant course - 6 credits
Political Science - 3 credits
Medical Terminology - 1 credit - Online
I do have two small children, but my husband has agreed to completely take care of them while I do school. He's just kinda made me wonder if this is too much. My school only allows you to apply in the Spring for the following Fall, and I'm also going to apply at another school which requires your Med Term class, and Nursing assistant class. I need to get an A in Political Science, and an A in AP1. Obviously I want the best grade possible in Nursing Assistant too.
Just wondering what you all think? If it's feasible, then I want to do it. But I don't want to sabotage myself either. If I don't take political science now, I'd have to take it in Spring with Microbiology and AP 2. This semester I'd be taking Sociology in its place, or English. I just need to retake two of my classes, Political Science and whatever else is a B.

I don't know how your school is, but my school wouldn't let you take micro with A and P. That does sound like a crazy schedule, but if you're not working, it may be doable..Good luck if you do choose to go for it!
Oh no, I will DEFINITELY not be working at all. As it stands right now, which is why I'm nervous, I do homework from the time I wake up until I go to sleep. But this is chemistry. Actually, my school that's the norm. The counselor told me to do that, take them both at the same time. Apparently, it's what all the prenursing students are doing. o.o

That schedule sounds pretty good to me .. it doesn't seem like too much, it's just enough. Maybe that's because I'm used to taking like 7 classes a semester, but I would do it. Seems like you have a supportive husband + you don't have to work so I say go for it.

Is this your first semester in school? If it is, maybe you'd get better grades if you took it a little slower at first to get an idea of how to pace your studies and home life.
If you are a vet at this, then go for it, the CNA and Medical Terms classes are easy and fun. Best wishes.

Unfortunately, and I'm reluctant to admit this; I'm on year 6 in college.. lol I know what works for me. The only reason I have to retake political science and sociology is because I was younger at the time and didn't care. Political Science, I got a C+ which was only because I missed so much. Sociology I got a B, just because I was lazy. So it's definitely a different position now that I'm determined. :)

That sounds brutal to me because I know what a killer the short session of A & P I is like. I don't understand why you are retaking Soc if you got a B?
Where I live, it is SO competitive that you have to get above a 3.5 GPA in all areas in order to have the chance of getting in. I already am accepting my B's in Math, and my two English classes. So if I retake Political Science and Sociology to get an A - it'll put me in that bracket.
Also, my semester has changed. Apparently, when you enroll in the AP 1 accelerated, you're concurrently enrolled in the AP 2 accelerted - in the same semester. I'm still probably going to do it, but maybe without like..any other classes. lol. Except maybe sociology.

I took a&p 1 and 2 short session last summer with math and developmental psych and did well. There were people in my class taking the a&p and then adding micro for the second short session! Add in med term and I thought they were crazy, but they did it and did well. It can definitely be done. Good luck.

Generally your spouse knows you better than anyone else and since we don't know what your life is like besides school it's hard to judge. Funny because I just told my husband my work load for fall and he says you are gonna overload yourself. I'm a busy bee so I can't devote every minute to school. I guess he knows me better than I know myself With your schedule though CNA was common sense knowledge in my experience, med term was a walk in the park too so your load probably wouldn't be too bad. Good luck!!
