see-through white pants? Hate it!!!

Does anyone know of any white scrub pants that are not absolutely x-ratedly see-through? I like to sometimes wear white pants with a cute scrub top (I'm female) and I HATE how all my white pants you can see my panty line and the outline of the pockets of the pants. Any tips? I have the Cherokee ones. I know it's a dumb question, but what the hey.:eek:

I have a pair of white cotton twill (denim) that are comfy and opaque! Can't think of who makes them!!!:confused:

You could just embrace the style I saw in Europe this summer.

It seemed that sheer white pants and thongs were all the rage.

Barring that however, if your hospital will allow it, start looking for plain pants that are not strictly nursing uniform cut. I used to wear white BDU's (militatry style pants) that were made out of thick almost denim material when I had to wear white for nursing school. That is after my nursing instructor gave up nad let me do it. she got tired of my purposeful wearing of loud boxers under my whites. snicker snicker.

I wear Barco, and they seem to be heavy enough to not show the world your shorts....

I wear beige underwear and bras under white, works well cause for some reason white shows up under white and beige does not.

Bobbie Brooks (Walmart $9.96) has twill pants from 6p-22W with elastic waists.

I finally gave up on regular uniform pants and bought these. No show through and if you DID get yuck on them they were cheap enough to toss.

I had a family member of one of my patients say to me...."I would have thought you would have been taught to wear beige underwear under your whites" I had a really hard time dealing with this particurlarly difficult patient and family, so I just finished what I had to do and left the room without comment. I do agree it is quite a chore to find thick white pants. I really wish the uniform companies would take notice and find some thicker material!!!

Okay,,, am I old? My mother always told me to wear beige under whites. Has this little tidbit of info been lost through the years? It does solve the problem.

I also happen to think that the g-string under the scrubs,, is rather nasty, specially in the five hundred pound nurse,, noone ever told them to controll the cottage cheese? ugh!

Now for you boys out there,, I like to see your boxers! tightie whiteies just dont cut it for me! LOL!

nilepoc, you kill me!! Your post about the loud boxers was a vivid visual and I loved it!

About thongs... some of us bigger girls (somewhere between 190 and 300 lbs) like them! I agree that you don't want the world to see what ya got under neath, but when I'm comfy, I'm happy!
