Second Attempt at NCLEX

Published

So i took the NCLEX today for the second time and I am very nervous. I did 265 questions. I know i got the last question right, but I am just running over in my mind if it was a passing style question or not.

Got tons of SATA, 3 math and lots of prioritize. My last question ended on, " Which statement by the patients requires a follow up?" Does anyone know if this style question is a pass or fail type. So nervous! Too scared to do Pearson trick based on mixed reviews on it not working right sometimes. Plus! dont really want to pay 200 again right now if i did fail haha

The trick does work of you do it right. Use a gift card or a card with

I had a few of those questions and I passed in 75 questions!

I did the trick with my credit card but put the wrong expiration date.

I passed the NCLEX 2 weeks ago with 265 question and my last question was an easy one. So it doesn't matter if the last question is a passing level question or not. Good luck

Hi,

I took the NCLEX today my computer cut off exactly on 75 questions. but I did answer the last question right, I had at least 5 SATA and many exhibits and alot of Peds questions. I am very nervous, anxious alot of anxiety. can someone tell me what they think of that?

@ash78 did you try the PVT yet?

@ Shieyecla I did not check because I do have money into my card. I am just sitting here be sad and scare.

You have to wait 24 hours for the pvt to work properly since they grade your test twice. I got 265 questions too. I know I got the last question right but don't know if it's passing. Keeping my fingers crossed! Good luck!

@ash78 you can use your cc just change the expiration date. Just make sure you do it after 24 hrs. Good luck and keep us posted!

@wel43 Good luck! Keep us posted :)

Actually it does.

If your last question truly is below the passing standard, it means that at the time the test concluded you were below the passing standard, and therefore not passing. I think the confusion comes in because one person's "easy" is another person's "hard" and it's pretty common for people to think this question or that is above or below the standard based solely on their own interpretation of that question.

Honestly, I think the one thing that gives the MOST confusion is a SATA question: people often read into it more than it is.....it doesn't indicate passing, it doesn't indicate a higher level question, it's only an alternative format of question. But it definitely makes people crazy, as it's the least favorite type of question! ;)
