Seattle University BSN applicants 2012

Published

Hi all,

I didn't see any threads for Seattle University, so I thought I would start one. What classes are you taking, current GPA, extracurriculars, etc? Any thoughts on the application process?

I guess I will start by saying that I am currently finishing 2 prerequisites. Currently my overall GPA is 3.3 and pre-req GPA is a 3.9. I'm starting a CNA program, so hopefully that goes well. My overall GPA is low, so I am worried about that.

I am SO nervous just thinking about it!!

SPU should send you a user name and original password once your application is complete.

Yikes I never got that email!

That's strange. I got the email with the username and password right after they confirmed my application was complete.

I think it's because my electronic military transcript went to the wrong department so my application wasn't "complete" until I called and investigated where it went. Thankfully, the transcript was found and sent to admissions but it was after the due date. They said it wouldn't affect my application but now I'm beginning to wonder....

armynurse68 I didn't get an email either, and they obviously got my application. I'm sure after a while some person sending out the emails just got tired of doing it. ;) I'm sure you're fine.

I think you are fine once they confirmed it wouldn't affect your application. so keep waiting!

i wouldn’t be concerned about not getting a link to check your application status for spu. i didn’t receive one and i was accepted, so i am sure it doesn’t mean anything if you didn’t get one. i actually didn’t know you could check your application status at spu until you guys mentioned it justnow. i just received a text message stating that my application was completed. as for my grades/stats….. i have a 4.0 on the pre-req’s and a 3.8 overall gpa. i have my cna and previous experience as a paramedic.

Was there any doubt you would get in? Wow, very impressive. I am nervous about SU! When I called they said decisions should be out by April 1st at the very latest.

I actually figured I would not get into SPU because they are only taking a couple transfers. I was totally shocked when I opened the mail today. I am pretty nervous about SU as well, but feel a ton better knowing I will be starting in the fall regardless.

I'm glad not everyone got an email. I feel like they must send out acceptance letters first and then denial letters, but who knows. Congrats to everyone who got in.

Phew, the three pages of discussions since this afternoon and talk about emails and approvals first and then denials had me scared me for a minute....

Phew, Im still in the running.... Hahaha. Had an overall decent GPA, 3.56... I also have over 3100 hours in my current ER/Trauma Ctr setting that also works with an underserved population.... CROSSING my fingers and having multiple CVAs while I wait....

It's still funny to me that now days we call a 3.56 a "decent" GPA. It will be nice that once in a program, we will not have the pressure to continually have completely perfect grades.
