I've been a reader of these message boards for some time and thought I'd finally start participating. I didn't see a thread for the SU APNI 2011 application process, so I thought that as the deadline is this week I would start a thread and see how everyone's process went. I'm interested in the primary care np track myself.

anyone's change from FNP?

Hi everyone, I need some advice. I was previously in the whps program and have been finished for over 2 years. I have a past action on my license that has been cleared, but it is causing me problems a lot when I go to apply for jobs. any ideas of where I can seek out employment?

MSW - did you call them... or check your mail? in truth... I've been afraid of opening my mailbox...

I found out my status in a strange way. I email them explaining my situation and received an email that hinted that I was accepted. Then it was confirmed after speaking to them. I was still in a state of disbelief and asked "if they were sure and not making a mistake? " I am sure you will be hearing something in the next few days.

Flaneur--Today was definitely a crucial time for me. I am so thankful that I got the answer that I've been waiting for and am now able to make a more inform decision!!

hang in there junipers - there could be a lot of movement off of the waitlist this year. You never know.... I'm thinking about the peace corps as well, though. Maybe PM and we can chat about that. I have some concerns there as well...

Any other FNP notices...? Still no word here....

Also - MSW - who did you email in the admissions office? I'm dying for some info as I need to make a decision as well.

Nolasea - are you in Nola or Seattle or neither? I'm west coast - seems like some have heard from fnp already on this coast..... I'm a bit stir crazy.....

For those accepted, I was on the phone with the nursing department today and there is going to be an accepted students open house on March 17th! Unfortunately its on a Thursday night...and I have an anatomy exam the next day, but more info will be going out shortly!

I am in neither, but am on the west coast :) . I thought I would have gotten something in the mail yesterday. I'm hoping this week sometime, but you never know...especially with the crazy weather! I'm not sure how/if that held things up.

I've been reading these posts for a while and am in the greater Seattle area. I applied to the psych track and interviewed, but have not heard anything yet either. Maybe the snow backed everything up and they are going out in certain amounts per day. It certainly is hard to wait for news.

Congratulations to all of you who have found out already!

I keep checking my status daily, and the SU website still says "will be sent as soon as possible." I live in Seattle and applied to the FNP program. No news.
