I was under the same impression that you were when I was applying, and didn't think it was possible. However someone in my class applied for and got the scholarship from the very start of the program, so I know there is (or at least was at that point) a way around it. If you are offered admission, I would definitely apply. If you are offered admission and choose to go to SU you can message me directly on here and I can link you with that person so you can converse further.

That is a good list of questions (that was posted a page or so back). I remember my interview in 2011, and it seems like they asked several of these questions. If you can think how you'd answer each of these, you'll be well prepared.

Hey there, I'm in my final year of SU's APNI program and just wanted to comment that there are students in my year who applied for and got the NHSC scholarship, so although the website information says that, it's doable. I'm not sure of all the details, but I know that it has been done.

No...I didn't. Although, to be fair, there isn't a ton of it out there. Some people are getting a huge scholarship from the National Health Services Corps: Home - NHSC

Just finished yesterday. They were...alright. Both Peds and Psych finals were challenging. I come from a psych background, and still thought it was a challenging quarter. Done with this quarter...so spring break now!

It's actually $622/credit now, and it's between 12-16 credits/quarter. For example, this upcoming spring quarter is 16 credits, which translates into $10,016.00. However, there are scholarships for a limited number of students. Grants are not formally given out, to my knowledge, by the university for graduate students, which you will be considered even during your RN (prelicensure) year. Most people afford the program through subsidized and unsubsidized federal loans.

I have to agree with andar. Seriously...not to put anybody off of the program, because many aspects of it are amazing....however many many aspects of it are disorganized, the admission's process being highly representative of it. I would totally believe it if some work-study student put a couple of people in the system then went, "Eh...there's always tomorrow, right?" and left the rest for later. :-)

My email log-on? Well...kinda, yeah. But that was because I got that weird email asking me to take the survey...so when taking the survey I had to create a username, I think (a day or two before I got my written confirmation, since I was living on the east coast). Then I remember later thinking about it, wondering if I could have done it earlier anyway. Who knows?

LOL...yeah it would make sense, but nothing in this process will make that much sense, I promise. Just wait until you have to turn in all your immunizations on the Immunization Tracker and the background checks...you'll be shaking your heads, wondering why it makes no sense. This is just the beginning....hahaha.
