Seattle University APNI Program 2018

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

I'm interested in applying to the APNI program at SU. I've been reading a lot of the forums from other years, and have found it's quite competitive! I would love to hear from other people, and their track. Or if someone is in the program and has any advice about what they like in an applicant. Thank you!

JHU = top 5 program

Seattle = ranked 93rd

I can make one.

@NWguy28 I was mainly asking just because I wish there was more participation on this forum so we can know where other people are at, share our concerns with each other, etc.

Seattle University APNI - 2018 Applicants

Hi all! I applied to the PMHNP APNI program and was invited for an interview. I'm curious if anyone knows the odds of getting accepted into the program once you have an interview. Best of luck to everyone!!! :)

I heard that if you are invited for an interview, you are a top applicant and basically just have to not screw it up lol Be proud of getting this far! You'll do great!!!

Really wish there was a forum like this for RN's that applied to the DNP program at SU... I tried creating one but no responses yet lol Would love to know if any RN's have been invited to interview yet for the DNP tracks they applied to... I saw earlier in this forum that they invite the APNI applicants for interview first, then the RN's...ugh. Anyhow, good luck everyone. Never give up! :)

Does anyone know when exactly the program starts

I believe it starts June 25th.

Thank you for the encouraging words! Such a relief, but I'm still SOOOO nervous and going to do tons of prep for the interview. I hope that you hear back soon! :)

Thanks! I couldn't find that info on their website

@eanda27 can you tell me what group you created in FB? I am also an RN, I would like to join. It appears that first they go through all the APNIs and then the RNs. From attending the info session last year, it seems like being an RN puts you at a HUGE advantage and you are very likely to get in. Last year I attended the info session in the beginning of June and they said "if you're an RN and want to apply we still have some spots open".

I alo believe they want RNs because we start in year 2 when APNIs just completed their RNs so reality is, they have no experience as nurses. I think they want RNs with experience to contribute to the rest of the group.
