Seattle University APNI Program 2018

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

I'm interested in applying to the APNI program at SU. I've been reading a lot of the forums from other years, and have found it's quite competitive! I would love to hear from other people, and their track. Or if someone is in the program and has any advice about what they like in an applicant. Thank you!

If your a RN, your not competing with APNI Applicants. If anything, your competing with other RNs, if any.

What track are you applying?

That's right! APNI's compete with APNI's and RN's with RN's. APNI's start on year 1 and RN's start on year 2 so RN's who are accepted this year will start year 2 with APNI's who started last year. I think that's why they want RN's because the APNI's don't have nursing experience as they go from year 1 to 2. That's my 2 cents.

Hi All, Has anyone heard back from the admissions office for this program? I called them and they said they have started to contact people and are not done yet. Does this mean they are waiting to hear back and then will move on to the waitlisted students? I'd love to hear from other applicants. Thanks so much!

I interviewed on the 3rd.

How was it?? Did you do a lot of prep for your interview?

Congrats! I hope it went well.

It was fun. I didn't do any prep. I interviewed last year.

"It was fun" is a good sign that you did well with your interview. Congrats!!!. How many people were part of your interview panel? Were they all your nursing staff?

3 Individuals. It was fun, I enjoyed the process, and I'll continue with whatever verdict awaits me!

@Wishful4FNP, Did you get invited?

@NWguy28 I have my interview this Saturday!

Congratulations and good luck! Have fun and be yourself!
