Seattle University APNI 2019 Applicant Questions?

Hi All,

I remember when I was applying to Seattle U's APNI (Advanced Practice Nursing Immersion) program a couple of years ago there was no information for me out there! So I wanted to circle back and answer any questions applicants or potential applicants might have. I finished the APNI portion last spring and now am in the first year of the primary care FNP/AGNP track.

Good luck to all.

Hey all! I just thought I would share what happened for me last year. I applied and did not hear anything from the school until Feb. 23rd when they said my decision was available (I did not interview either). I think it says they will reach out end of Jan./ early Feb. with interview requests. Hoping I have better luck this year. Good luck to all!

I was wondering the same, and have not received anything. I actually submitted the application quite early (a month or so early) and never received any confirmation to date.

Same!

So while we wait - what's everyone's holiday plans? Hot chocolate and Elf for me! ❤

That sounds so relaxing! I'm just going to relax and hang out with friends and family :)

Chiming in late! Last year, I received my invite to interview for the CNM track on February 2nd, chose to interview February 10th and received their decision March 7th or 8th. I was waitlisted last year, so finger crossed for 2019! Waiting to hear back re: interviews is torture...

I applied this year for the FNP program. I am really anxious to hear if I got an interview. Online, it says that they review the applications the first 2-3 weeks of January and then the interviews begin toward the end of January, but it sounds like people didn't get invites until the beginning of February last year. I have no idea when I should expect an update! Good luck everyone.

Wondering if anybody has heard anything yet. I applied to the new Acute Care APNI specialty and was curious if anyone had done the same.

Hi everyone! I got my invitation to interview today for midwifery via email. I scheduled it for Feb 10th.

I received an e-mail yesterday as well for an interview for midwifery. Was given three dates to choose from - will be interviewing on February 2nd!

I just found this thread! I received my email to interview for the midwifery DNP yesterday! Good luck everyone!

I live in CA and I know that phone interview is an option, but I’m wondering if it would be a better option to fly up for the weekend? Any idea if it matters?

I would think that an in person interview would be best if you can make it work. Phones can have technical issues and they don't really convey temperament and personality as well. If you can't make it work, the phone is still a good option. Good luck!
