Applications for the Seattle Children's nurse residency open up on May 3 and the OR residency application opens sometime in April. I have been working towards the OR residency, but I am applying to both because I am dead set on moving to Seattle and Seattle Children's is my #1 choice.
I have loved watching people on here talk throughout the application process, get hired, and start making their moves! I would love to connect with people who are applying to either the OR or the regular residency at Seattle Childrens and other Seattle area programs!
I just applied to Harborview the other day for their residency and periop 101 programs too!

yea, I thought my resume and cover letter were good too, I precepted in peds just at a hospital in FL. very interested to see if anyone not employed or completed a preceptor ship got a interview request.

I got an invitation to interview on Tuesday and I didn’t precept at Children’s.

Thanks!! I live in Georgia so I precepted at one of the nearby hospitals to my school. I was able to do my practicum on the NICU floor. But please don’t give up!!
Similar for me, I did my Senior Practicum at a level IV NICU at Children's MN. No luck with getting an interview though, I'm not giving up. Congrats on getting invited to interview!

I wonder what set some above to get the interview chance. You think if I emailed recruiter to ask for advice on application etc they would even reply?
