SDSU Fall 2012 admission hopefuls

Published

Good luck everybody! I really hope that you all get in. This is a really stressful time in our academic careers, so let's use this thread to comfort each other and to answer each others questions about the admissions process. And at one point or another, celebrate our admission in the SON. Thank you very much!

Spiffy: I have also heard $400 for the deposit. Luckily for me I should hear from all my top schools (SFSU, SDSU, CSULB) before the May 1st deadline, so I should be able to make a pretty confident decision about where to pay my deposit.

What about you, where's your top school(s)? Do you hear back from any of them after May 1st?

I'll be hearing back from SFSU, SDSU, and CSULB like you, but I don't know when I will hear from CSUS and CSULA. I think I would choose CSULB as my first choice. Even though I want to move out of my house (been living here my whole life) I will save a lot of money from commuting and I can always move out after when I get a job. What about you? Which is your first choice? The only school I hear back from after May 1st is CSUSB and it's my last choice.

SF state is my #1 because I wouldn't have to take any extra classes on top of nursing, due to transferring, etc. But only if I get in for fall... cause they accept half their applicants for spring and I don't want to wait that long! I'm not really sure between LB and SD for my second choice... I think they are both great schools. LB has the 2 year program possibility which would be great, but I got scared talking to some of the students at the interview, haha, they said it was intense. Would you do the 2 year or the 3 year?

Ohh. Yeah I kind of want to go to SDSU cause it's a nice area and it's 2.5 years without summers! CSULB's two year program sounds super stressful. What did the students at the Interview say? I would probably choose the two year one cause I don't want to be in school longer than I have to ..

Everyone I talked to said they did the 3 year program, and it was the best decision they'd ever made, blah blah blah. That it's way less stressful if you don't mind taking the extra time. But I DO mind taking the extra time. That's why I think the 2.5 yr programs at SD and SF are a nice happy medium. Get done quicker but still have summers. But 2 years at LB just sounds sooo short, I would definitely be tempted to try for that!

C'MON WHEN ARE WE GOING TO FIND OUT!!! i CHECK MY E-MAIL 54 TIMES A DAY!! ANY ONE HEARD ANYTHING YET??

There were a LOT of applicants, I'm being told, which could be why this is taking much longer than expected.

Yikes thats not good .Do you know how many will be accepted?

I'm not surprised that there are so many more applicants for the Fall 2012 semester at every school. Things will just keep getting more competitive :(

HI everyone i just got a CALL from a woman at SDSU SON..she wanted me to fax over my CNA license (Im hoping this is a good thing)..she said they were wrapping things up and should be giving us a decision by the end of the week or begining of next week!!!!
