Good luck everybody! I really hope that you all get in. This is a really stressful time in our academic careers, so let's use this thread to comfort each other and to answer each others questions about the admissions process. And at one point or another, celebrate our admission in the SON. Thank you very much!
@CorianderThis is my second year at SDSU and my last semester before I finish up my pre-reqs. I've been looking into joining some orgs on campus for a while now, but haven't had the time to actually do so. I read in an earlier post that you mentioned that it would be a good idea to get involved with CNSA, how does one go about doing that ? And how has it benefited you ? I don't know anyone affiliated with that org, sooo are the people nice ? haha. Your input would be greatly appreciated, thanks :)
Hi jgummy!
Please check into the Pre-Nursing Society. They have study groups and meetings, and you can also join CNSA after joining the PNS. Let me see if there is an official email for PNS when I get home from work.
CNSA has greatly changed my life (cheesy, right?) I went from quiet student who just wanted to pass classes to being on the Board of Directors at the State level. There is incredible opportunity for students to develop their leadership skills and really network with nurse leaders from all over the state (and country!) It's been truly AWESOME!!!!!!!!
So, saying that, the people are very nice. LOL I'll send you more information when I have access to it!
