Published

Good luck everybody! I really hope that you all get in. This is a really stressful time in our academic careers, so let's use this thread to comfort each other and to answer each others questions about the admissions process. And at one point or another, celebrate our admission in the SON. Thank you very much!

Is it possible for this to drag out any longer? I'm dying over here! lol I sure hope we hear something soon!! I have a question for Coriander- What was the cutt-off points for when you were applying?

For my semester I think it was 72 points. Or 74. I can't remember. One of the two.

I'm on pins and needles, too, for you guys! I REALLY hope you hear soon!!!

@ RNY2 So are you pretty confident your getting in? How cool it would be to know that there are couple of us that would sort of know eachother through this website, get into the program!! Gosh I really get so excited thinking about it...hopefully I'm not getting my hopes up too high. How many points did you add up for yourself? I have 76 pts...I pray thats enough. Do you know if it's true that if we do get accepted that we only have 48 hrs to reply? Do you live in SD? So for the 21 questions! lol

@ Coriander Thank you so much!!!

@ RYN2 I meant to say *sorry in the last sentence!

I mean I hope I get in, it's Definately where I want to end up! I have 82 points.. Hopefully that does the trick. Yeah I live in sd but Lise twenty five minutes from sdsu so I want to move closer

Like** and I have no idea about the 48 hour thing

Oh your golden! I'm sure you'll get in!! Ya the great things I've heard about the school/program, location, and the duration of the program are all factors as to why it would be awesome to go there!!! Hopefully we hear within a week. I think last year they all heard around the 8th-9th of April so I'm assuming thats around the time we will hear.

It sounds like they've changed the point system this past year. They've changed a lot of stuff this past year. lol

How's everybody holding up? I raced home to check if any of you have heard!

@ Coriander- Well you just made me way more nervous!! What does that mean? Is it way harder to get into now, you think? Has the point system always been out of 90 points? What changed on it? Oh now I'm really shaking in my boots.

Whoa, your point system is out of 90?!??! I think ours was 80? I don't remember. I think I still have the breakdown somewhere, I'll look later (exam tomorrow).

I don't think it's harder; I think they reworked how they addressed the point system, with additional points being given for various other things. Would you be able to tell me the breakdown they gave you? Not yours personally, but the general form they should have given you. It will have points for GPA, points for work hours, points for language, etc.

30 points for overal gpa30 points for pre reqs15 points for the teas15 points for 1000 hours of work experience or 10 points for 100 hours work experience or 5 points for 100 hours of volunteering
