SCRIPPS New Graduate Nurse Program August 2011

Hello, I wanted to start this thread for the Scripps Healthcare new graduate nurse position. The program was suppose to start August 12th 2011 from what I was told. Just wanted to start getting familiar with all of the people that applied and hopefully get some useful information going in this thread!:)

Hello everyone, I've been following this thread silently for a while. I interviewed with Scripps Chula Vista on the Medical Acute unit and..... I got a call this morning around 8:45. Sorry, I did not get to ask her how many people where selected, but I believe she said that she is sending out an e-mail tomorrow to those of us who are selected... so hopefully you all get calls today! It's July 4th but keep those phones close by!

Can I ask what area code she called from? I missed a call this am @ 8 & they didn't leave a msg. I called back but its an automated vm. I can only hope right? To the rest of us on the thread: ANYone else heard anything?

It is a 858 area code. Funny thing is, I had a dream Saturday night that they called me twice and I did not pick up so they gave the job to someone else... freaky! Glad I kept my phone next to my bed last night.

@jusniko: I'm in full panic mode! :( So glad I kept applying to places last week just in case, but THIS is the one I want!!! Call me! Call me! Call me! lol

@NY917: Bummer, the call was from a 760. I figured wishfully that maybe she was calling from home or something, guess not!

Me neither. Nothing yet. Congrats to those of you that have been called! Ny917 - were you an internal applicant or external? Did you specifically interview with the unit you were chosen for? Congrats again!

sd-ace: Thanks! I am an external applicant who graduated from San Diego State University in Dec 2010. And yes, I am chosen into the unit in which I interviewed for.

PS: I applied in the spring and was rejected by their Tele unit... that was my first ever interview. This time around, I already knew the interview questions so I had time to come up with better answers. So, do not give up! If you don't get a job by fall (which I'm sure you will!), reapply to Scripps again! They were the only one to offer me an interview out of the dozens of places I applied to.

This was my second interview as well (interviewed in March too). I'm afraid that I won't have another chance because the organization will be saturated with new grads already. Totally stressed out! Thanks for the post :)

I've about given up at this point. I'm going to go enjoy the 4th of July & tomorrow will be a new day! Congrats to those who have been offered a position. Happy 4th to all!!:rckn:

Don't give up yet!!! I was at the street fair and got a voice mail... couldn't hear the message so I ran up the hill as quickly as I could to call the recruiter back to find out I GOT THE JOB!!! SO HAPPY THIS WAS MY FIRST CHOICE - LA JOLLA!!!

I was so excited I forgot to take notes... did anyone catch when they were going to send emails to those that got a job about what the next step to the process is? I think she said saturday right?

Halienh: CONGRATS! Were you an internal applicant? You said it was your first choice but for me it was my one and only since I am external.
