Hello, I wanted to start this thread for the Scripps Healthcare new graduate nurse position. The program was suppose to start August 12th 2011 from what I was told. Just wanted to start getting familiar with all of the people that applied and hopefully get some useful information going in this thread!:)

Likewise BJALove!! Enjoy the weekend stress free & go back to stalking our phones on Tuesday morning...lol Happy 4th!!

Hi everybody... I almost don't want to post this but I know I'd want to know...

I got the call this morning for a job offer. She said she sent the email just in case she couldn't get through everybody but she was hoping to get through everybody today/tomorrow and maybe even Monday since last time she called people on a holiday she got through to a lot of people. So don't give up hope!! She did not tell me how many offers were being made though.

Good luck to all those still waiting!! I know it's nerve wracking!

Maiday...Congrats!!! Thanks for letting us know....back to staring at our phones for the next few days! I check out the thread from the last new grad program & it looks like they made offers over 4 days........hopefully, itll be the same this time!

so she said she sent the email offering a job to those who are getting job offers? Im confused on what you said. And when did she call u was it today (saturday) or yesterday (friday)? Thanks for your post...

No, the email she sent that said she'd call next week (after the 4th). She sent that email so people wouldn't freak out if they didn't hear from her on Friday. She called me Friday morning around 8:30. She told me she planned on doing no paperwork, just calling people straight through Friday/Saturday and maybe even Monday. After all offers are accepted, she will still send the rejection email.

But keep in mind, things come up and some people don't answer. Just like lizardRN said, the last go round, it took about 4 days to get through to everybody. So there is still time!

Thanks lizardRn for the congrats! I'm very excited, I know it's a tough market though and I wish we could all just walk out of school with job offers like 4 years ago...

Thanks for the update. Do you work at Scripps? I'm wondering if all the internal applicants are being called first. I'm starting to feel slightly bummed out...it's Saturday night and no phone call. Anyone else having any better luck?

SD-Ace: I feel the same way. The only glimmer of hope is that nobody else has heard a peep as far as I know. There are quite a few people on this thread...you would think someone else would have heard? I am hoping maiday is internal & we someone still have a chance?

I totally agree lizardRN. Maybe she still needs approval for the other applicants like the email suggested. Maybe that will happen next week. I can only speculate.
