Scripps New Grad RN January/March 2020

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I would start a thread for the Scripps New Grad RN application that just opened up for the January and March 2020 cohorts. Good luck to all who are applying!

I got an interview invite yesterday, October 10 for Scripps Green.

I’m an internal candidate interviewing at Scripps Mercy (SD). This is my third application/interview for Scripps. I’ve been a CNA with Scripps for a year, and have 4 years of experience as a CNA. I passed my boards in July. Fingers crossed that this time I’m successful- it is highly competitive out there! Good luck to everyone who is interviewing!

Crazy! Which Scripps are you a CNA for? Try reaching out to managers/staff of floors you want to work on to let them know you're interested. Also, follow up via email with some of the mangers for feedback. They may or may not respond but worth a shot! Good luck to you this time around!

I am a SBFP CNA for Mercy and CV- My first 2 applications were for La Jolla but when I interviewed the first time, I hadn’t graduated or taken the NCLEX yet. The second time, I was licensed but I think I was turned down since none of the managers were familiar with me. This time, I am applying at Mercy as I work there and more people know me- I’ve had several managers (including mine) put in a good word so I am very hopeful that it works out! Good luck to you as well!!

Thank you @MsNita83!! ? All of this info is greatly appreciated and congratulations on all your success with the program!!

@MsNita83 Did your folder with your resume, cover letter, and credentials include a photo of you? I know some organizations prefer that; however, I know many also do not. The college I went to advises us to do this, but I do not know if it's the smartest move lol.

Actually, I did not include a photo. In my case it was not needed, my manager called me about 30 minutes after my interview and offered me a position. However, Palomar does like applicants to include pictures.

For those who got notified for an interview, has your status changed on your application? Mine still says "hiring manager review"

If it changes again, it shouldn't happen until you get an offer. It will say onboarding. That's from experience changing jobs within Scripps.

has anyone gone for interview yet? Have you been contacted with the result?he wait is killing me!

If you haven’t heard by now, you don’t have an interview as they’re on this Thursday and Friday per the website 10/31 and 11/1. I thought they sent out rejections emails already for people who didn’t get interviews.
