Hey all!
I thought I would start a thread for those of us who submitted an application for the Scripps New Grad Program for March/June 2017. It took me forever to find the application, it wouldn't allow me to search it on the jobsatscripps page. I did finally get it submitted around 9:30am CA time so hopefully I made the 500 app cut off.
Good luck everyone!
Hi All! Congrats to all who got an interview/job offer! I have been following this thread as I am graduating in May from nursing school :)
I was wondering who has gotten a job offer with an ADN? I will be graduating with my associates first and am hoping that that doesn't put me out of the running. Any feedback is appreciated! Thanks :)

I only have my ADN too! And I got the offer. I think as long as you're enrolled in a BSN program and are on your way to obtaining your BSN then you should have no problem. Hospitals are transitioning or want to maintain their magnet status so they like to see that their nurses are getting or have the highest degree
Yay! Congrats! She called me yesterday and offered me med oncology but she didn't tell me anything else and she said she'd email me more details but I haven't recieved an email yet so now I'm getting paranoid. Did she send you an email yet?
Did you interview first before you received a rejection letter?

I have an ADN also but I am not currently enrolled in any BSN program. I also made no mention of it anywhere in my resume or interview. It is probably still a good idea to do so but I don't think it is a deal breaker.

Interesting, they didn't specify a timeline for you to have to achieve a BSN? I know that Scripps is only partial magnet status...I didn't know that was possible to be partial, but apparently their main hospital buildings and associated floors are magnet status, but the auxiliary clinics and offices are not.

No they never made a mention of it. Even in the offer letter there isn't anything talking about needing to aquire a BSN. I still plan to get one but I am not sure they would require me to do so. Also I wasn't aware of their magnet status so that is interesting.

Correction, I guess only the Scripps La Jolla Hospital is the one awarded magnet status. Found this article:
Scripps Health - Scripps Hospital Receives Highest Nursing Designation
I think they would PERFER you to have your BSN. I know for a fact is itsnt a requirement but the more experience or education you have, obviously the higher the chances of you getting in along with your answers and personality when it comes to the interview of course. Not a requirement but I'm sure preferred.

I totally understand! She used a different number this time though, maybe try calling back on the number she used when she first called you just to ask for an update tomorrow? If not, you can also shoot her an email. The format is usually [email protected]
