Scripps New Grad Program

Hi all!

Its that wonderful time again. Thought I would start this thread for any news from Scripps New Grad Program. Hopefully we hear good things back soon! Good luck to everyone!

This is interesting. I was stressing myself over these questions. Now I have no idea how they choose an candidate.

I was probably one of the first person to apply (8:04). I did my preceptorship there. I don't have BSN but I am enrolled in a RN-BSN program. I am volunteering (not there but at UCSD). This sucks!!

I think maybe that might look more at your TalentMine assessment score than the simulation score? This is just a guess of course. I was basing this guess off what I have read in previous threads. But I really don't know how they select people for interviews. Maybe they are looking to see if you have BSN. I really don't know. But good luck to you, gikg!

I've heard about a million different tips for interviews, but they are so vague! "Be yourself, dress professionally, stay relaxed, etc"

I know it's competitive, but any Scripps-specific tips would be helpful in easing nerves!

gikg- I'm in the same boat. Got my app in at 8:07 and thought I had a chance at an interview, but just got the thanks but no thanks email. Good luck to you and know that you are not alone. I also am working on my BSN and I have a BS in another field.

Well I just got my rejection email. This is not fair!!!

Does anyone know if it is possible to reschedule a Scripps interview? I was offered an interview for another new grad program and round two of the panel interview (if I am moved forward) is the same day as my Scripps interview and this interview cannot be moved at all. Just thought I'd ask before calling Scripps... thanks

Wow gikg! I'm so sorry that you didn't get an interview. But don't give up! Everything happens for a reason and there is something out there for you! It is so competitive and I don't think anyone knows or understands how they choose people. Good luck and keep applying!

ncaRN35- You cannot reschedule an interview with scripps. I think they mention that in the email! Unfortunately they interview several people and just assign a date and time that you have to make work. However, if the other interview absolutely cannot be rescheduled you could always call and ask, and maybe they can work with you. Maybe you will get lucky and they will have another slot open or something. Good luck! Hope it works out. It would suck to have to pick which one to attend.

I'm nervous and my interview isn't until Friday LOL But you are going to do great CaliRN13!! Be prepared for it to be kinda loud, but otherwise it is very laid back and they are super nice. I wonder how many they are interviewing and accepting??! Hopefully we will hear back before Thanksgiving and won't have to wait very long. I hate the waiting game!

Ahh!! Good luck today, CaliRN13!!! Let us know how it went! I've been a follower of this post since it started but havent written in it because I don't want to jinx myself; but I figure we can all support each other here and relieve some anxiety!!! My interviews Friday too!! I'm so nervous I keep dreaming about it!!
