Scripps Health New Grad Residency August/October 2023

Updated:   Published

Hi guys! Just wanted to start a post for the cohort for August/October 2023. Just curious if anyone would know the answer to this but it says on their FAQs PDF that there is only positions in units like med/surge or telemetry however during the application, there were choices like medical acute and surgical acute. Does anyone know if those units are hiring or not? And if we could apply to multiple units?

I'm not exactly sure but since our class graduates in August then it will be 4-6 weeks for the NCLEX; so I know I won't have my license by the August start

oh okay, thank you for the info ? I already graduated in April so im really hoping I get an interview at the least LOL

When did you notice that your application went from in process to in consideration? Im wondering if that means anything at all LOL

I got an interview request via email (no call) for Scripps Mercy. The email doesn't state a specific unit though so I'm not sure how to tell what it's for?

When you get the interview request via email is the sender "Scripps Career Center"? Just want to make sure that I'm not accidentally missing it if I do get an email to interview from them. Also do they both call and email?

I wonder if when you apply in the application period affects when you will be called for an interview, since I applied later.

Has anyone who applied to the Encinitas location hear anything yet?

Someone in my nursing program said that they got a call to interview at Encinitas and will be doing so later this week

Anybody that had an interview already- do you get any say/do they ask if you want to start in august or oct? I'm out of state so I'm nervous that I won't be able to make the early august one work

When you click on the link to schedule it will tell you what location and unit you are interviewing with.

Hmm maybe I'm dumb but it doesn't appear under my interview details. It just says "Mercy San Diego All Units". Now I'm worried I'm going to pull up to the interview not knowing LOL

Mine didn't say on the phone but when I got the "teams" meeting request/link email, it says  who the people are at the interview. mine says 7th floor Acute II

Is it still possible to get an offer for Mercy does anyone know? I am out of state but I already have my california nursing license so I'm not sure how to stand out.

Maybe we are applying into a pool position? I have the same thing

The recruiter told me they're pooling people and they're no where near finished with interviews. Sounds like they're trying to focus on one floor/unit/hospital at a time since candidates meet with the nurse manager staff of that unit. I don't remember applying to a specific unit ?‍♀️
