Scripps Health New Grad Residency August/October 2023

Hi guys! Just wanted to start a post for the cohort for August/October 2023. Just curious if anyone would know the answer to this but it says on their FAQs PDF that there is only positions in units like med/surge or telemetry however during the application, there were choices like medical acute and surgical acute. Does anyone know if those units are hiring or not? And if we could apply to multiple units?

I'm in the same boat being out of state. I applied for the Summer at a few places but now am looking at the fall cohort. Fingers crossed still!

in the exact same boat too haha. I wonder when fall cohorts will start opening up for UCSD, Sharp, Scripps, etc.? are you just going to get an RN job somewhere else for the time being and then try to apply for fall?

If I don't get this one, I have another I'll accept elsewhere. Just would really love this one - would finally be able to move close by of our best friends who just had their first kid. So, fingers still crossed, but otherwise, I'll have to wait 18 months to finish a separate program and then move for a staff position, but 18 months is a long time to wait haha

SHARP/UCSD open next cohort applications next month. 
 

also, Kaiser is opening a huge new hospital in San Marcos so they will have a lot of new positions and the rumor is they will hire new grads in Sept 

Also check Palomar, Pomarado, Tri-Cities.

I kind of looked at med surg positions but I think I am going to go through one more round of new grad residencies. I am moving to San Diego at the end of this month so I think I will continue my volunteering, get my license, and add certifications to my resume while waiting for the apps to come out! Do you think you will work somewhere else??

I applied on 4/16, got an three separate emails in the past few weeks, the first was that I was submitted to the hiring team for all of scripps, second was that I was submitted to hiring team at Mercy and third was that I was submitted to hiring team with the surgical acute at mercy. Then I was emailed today that I will have an interview in one week. 

I didn't see a place for which cohort on the application but I would need to start in august.
