Hey! Assuming they do everything the same, I did a panel interview with all the managers and educators of all the floors, about 12 of them. They each asked 1 question. You write a first choice unit then second choice, but they could offer you a position at one or neither of those. They pick the group they're hiring out of all the applicants then assign them units I think. There was 30 of us in my cohort, but all subsequent cohorts have been smaller and smaller. I worked in tele for a year then jumped ship to Sharp cardiac PCU now. I went there cause it was my only shot of working day shift straight of nursing school and there were rumors of a UCSD partnership but honestly such a great experience esp tele bc you see really sick patients short of the ICU and the nurses have been there forever so they know SO MUCH. Like any other thing, you get what you put in, but I would do it over and over again. They can be short staffed to a ridiculous degree though and we didn't get breaks at times, and everything is kinda ghetto but my mentality was "if I can work here, I can work anywhere" and it worked ? This is a long shot, but I start at Tri-City in September and I'm trying to see if anyone else got a job there on here since there wasn't a forum for the application process. Lmk! I'm a mix of nervous and excited, hoping to find somebody else in the same boat ?

Did any of you guys accept the position? How do/did you like it? I start with them in a month, on the tele floor ?

Hi! Yesterday I was randomly looking up new grad programs and saw that Kaiser had applications open for Zion and SDMC! I applied, and today I checked again and it was GONE! Looks like it was only posted for 3 days, July 18-20. For external applicants at least (might be a different process for internal?). Didn't hear anything about it at all. It doesn't say a start date but from the FAQs I assume it's for the September cohort. Wondering if anybody else on here applied!

Not the users you're replying to but I got the "referred to hiring manager" email (two of them, one specified Mercy SD - all units) but haven't received word about an interview ? makes me wonder if the hiring managers are also filtering the apps and don't just contact everyone they were given. Starting to get discouraged tbh ?

I just got the referred to hiring manager email a couple days ago. Subject line said "Scripps Mercy San Diego (All units)"

Which location did you apply to if you don't mind me asking? Cause I think not all locations are contacting people at the same time, depends on the hiring managers?

Thank you so much! My top choice was ED! In the email they said I'm being considered for ED, Forensics (whatever that means LOL), Monitored Medical unit, medsurg ortho, oncology, and tele. So I'm reallllyyy hoping they give me the ED, but now I probably should be prepared if thats not the one they offer to me. It's a relief tho to hear they get back to you relatively fast! Did you get into NICU?! I'm also being really stubborn and only wanting ED regardless of the competitive-ness ?

Hi! I saw in the other thread that you might have gotten the job at Tri-City? I'm interviewing with them in 2 weeks and just wondering what to expect for the interview and the timeline, etc if you don't mind?
